Hot Chocolate Pancakes


Ingredients

2
cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/4
cup sugar
2
tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
1
cup chocolate milk
1
teaspoon vanilla
2
eggs

Toppings, If Desired

Chocolate-flavor syrup, warmed
Sweetened whipped cream
Miniature marshmallows
Chocolate candy sprinkles

Directions

  • 1In large bowl, stir all ingredients except Toppings with wire whisk until well blended. Heat nonstick griddle to 375°F. or 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. (To test griddle, sprinkle with a few drops of water. If bubbles jump around, heat is just right.) Brush with vegetable oil if necessary or spray with cooking spray before heating.
  • 2For each pancake, pour slightly less than 1/4 cupful batter onto hot griddle. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly on top and dry around edges. Turn; cook other side until light golden brown around edges.
  • 3Drizzle pancakes with chocolate-flavor syrup; top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with marshmallows and chocolate candy sprinkles.

Overnight Egg-Sausage Bake

Ingredients

1
cup Original Bisquick® mix
1
cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
2
cups milk
1
teaspoon ground mustard
1/2
teaspoon dried oregano leaves
6
eggs, slightly beaten
1
pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained

Directions

  • 1Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
  • 2Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 2-quart casserole. Pour egg mixture into casserole.
  • 3Bake uncovered about 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    Expert Tips

    Complete your brunch with muffins, hash browns potatoes and fresh-squeezed orange or grapefruit juice.
    Store juice glasses in the freezer overnight, and serve juice in pretty frosted glasses.
